The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) is an initiative by the Government of India that provides flexible, inclusive, and accessible education for students who may not thrive in the traditional school system — especially those with special needs.
NIOS allows learners to study at their own pace, in a home-based or inclusive setting, with customized learning materials.
